Microchip & EU Pet Passport
Safe identification and comprehensive documentation for your pet – the foundation for travel within the EU and quick recovery in case of loss.

The Microchip – Your Pet Uniquely Identified
The microchip is a rice grain-sized transponder that is implanted under your pet's skin. It contains a globally unique 15-digit number that uniquely identifies your pet.
- Painless implantation – like a regular vaccination
- Lifetime durability without battery
- Globally uniform ISO standard
- Cannot be manipulated or forged
- Can be read by any standard reader
How It Works
Implantation
The chip is inserted under the skin in the neck area using a sterile single-use syringe.
Registration
We register your pet with TASSO e.V. or another pet registry with your contact information.
Documentation
The chip number is entered in the EU pet passport and secured with a barcode sticker.
