Ecto- & Endoparasites
Effective prophylaxis and treatment of fleas, ticks, worms and other parasites to protect your pet.

Parasites are more than just annoying – they can cause serious health problems in your pet and in some cases can even be transmitted to humans. In our practice, we offer comprehensive advice, prophylaxis and treatment against all common ecto- and endoparasites.
Ectoparasites (External Parasites)
Fleas
Cause itching, skin irritation and can transmit tapeworms. Treatment of the entire environment is particularly important.
- Spot-on preparations
- Tablets
- Collars
Ticks
Transmit dangerous diseases such as Lyme disease, anaplasmosis and babesiosis. Prophylaxis is particularly important in warm seasons.
- Protective preparations
- Regular checks
- Professional removal
Mites
Cause skin problems, ear infections and severe itching. Different types require different treatment approaches.
Lice & Biting Insects
Rare, but requiring treatment. Can be transmitted through direct contact and cause severe itching.
Endoparasites (Internal Parasites)
Roundworms (Ascarids, Hookworms)
Particularly dangerous in puppies and kittens. Can lead to growth disorders, diarrhea and nutritional deficiencies.
Some worm species can be transmitted to humans (zoonoses). Regular deworming is important!
Tapeworms
Often transmitted through fleas. Visible as rice-like segments in stool or on the anus.
Giardia
Single-celled intestinal parasites that can cause diarrhea especially in young animals. Require special treatment and hygiene measures.
Lung Worms & Heart Worms
Rare in Germany, but serious if present. Particularly important when traveling to southern countries.
Recommended Prophylaxis Plan
Deworming
4×/Year
Regular deworming in adult animals, more frequently in puppies and at-risk animals
Flea/Tick Protection
Year-Round
Continuous protection, especially intensified from March to October
