Precise Diagnosis as Foundation
An exact diagnosis is key to successful treatment. We use various diagnostic methods to find the cause of the discomfort.
Clinical Examination
Thorough orthopedic examination with gait analysis, palpation and mobility testing of all joints.
Digital Radiography
High-resolution X-ray images – if needed under sedation for proper positioning and diagnostic quality.
Special Tests
Drawer test, tibial thrust, Ortolani test and other specific examinations depending on suspected diagnosis.
Common Orthopedic Problems
We regularly see these orthopedic conditions in our practice and can diagnose and treat them competently.
Cruciate Ligament Rupture (in Dogs)
One of the most common orthopedic conditions in dogs. Shows as sudden limping of the hind limbs, non-weight bearing and knee swelling. Can be treated conservatively or surgically.
Hip Dysplasia (HD)
Hereditary malformation of hip joints, especially in large dog breeds. Leads to arthritis and pain. Diagnosed by X-ray, treatment depends on severity – conservative or surgical.
Patellar Luxation
The kneecap slips out of its groove – common in small dog breeds and cats. Depending on grade (I-IV), conservative treatment or correction surgery may be needed.
Osteoarthritis
Degenerative joint disease that becomes more common with age. We offer multimodal pain management, weight management and supportive measures for better quality of life.
Bone Fractures
After accidents or falls, fractures can occur. We provide initial care and refer complex fractures to specialized surgeons for optimal treatment.
Our Treatment Options
Depending on diagnosis and severity, we offer various treatment approaches – from conservative to surgical.

NSAIDs, opioids and modern pain medication as needed
- Weight Management
Nutritional counseling to relieve joints
- Activity Management
